In October of 2005 I happened to be in town when Halloween rolled around, and I helped out at my brother’s house with the carving of the jack-o-lanterns. It was a messy job, but lots of fun.  My brother cut the pumpkins open, and the kids cleared out the pumpkin “goo.”  I then helped to carved the pumpkin faces the kids had designed; some were more of a challenge than others.
