Tired of city living, and wanting some land and a garden, my father and my Uncle John bought an acre of land in Troy from old Mr. Young.  They split it in half, and each built a nice ranch house, doing much of the work themselves.

My parents studied hard, passed their tests, and became naturalized American citizens. You can see their official photos below.
